Meet Katie

Katie Kleihege is a 2011 cum laude graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  During her time at TMCLS, Ms. Kleihege was awarded the certificate of merit in Health Law and Michigan No-Fault Law.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Kleihege obtained her undergraduate degree in the science of nursing from the University of Southern Indiana.  Since 2002, Ms. Kleihege’s nursing career has encompassed several areas of nursing including care of the surgical patient (pre, intra, and post), oncology services, pediatric services, and orthopedics. Currently, she maintains licenses in both Michigan and Indiana.

Ms. Kleihege is an active participant in the community.  During law school, she volunteered for the American Red Cross in the donor room at the Lansing Chapter.  Ms. Kleihege also volunteered in events for the Portland Community Arts Council which promotes awareness of the arts as central to the quality of life and success of the Portland Community in Michigan.  Additionally, she volunteered in the Thomas M. Cooley Service for Soldiers program.  This program offers free one-on-one consultations between military personnel who were deployed to the Middle East and Cooley professors to discuss non-military legal issues.

Ms. Kleihege will focus her practice on medical malpractice, first party no fault and serious personal injury cases.
